Kisses and Habits

Today, is looking quite promising! So far, there have been no accidents, and the kiddos have been completely well mannered children. We started the day off, of course like every morning, with breakfast out in the rain while watching Jordan leave for school on the school bus. Today, I decided to do something a little different for their breakfast, and introduced a whole array of foods that they never had tried before (alone that is). I sliced up some kiwis, nectarines, fresh figs, and added some cheese and home made orange bread (straight from mummies kitchen!), and they ate it all up! I was so proud of them being such good sports with trying new things. The nectarines were a bit of a surprise too them. No matter how many times I told them it was a nectarine, they both insisted that it was an apple...... until they bit into it! haha.

After their morning nap, we ventured outside to play for about 45 min while eating our morning snack. It is so amazing how happy they are when they are outside for most of the day instead of cooped up in the home.

Every time one of the babies get hurt, of course, its mummies kisses that make all the "owie" go away. Lately, Charlotte has been bringing me all her little people, babies, and what ever she get her hands on and bring them to me for some healing kisses. In the past five minutes, I have mended about seven of her babies with my healing powers. (make that 9 kisses now)

My baby girl, who is not so much a baby any more!

My little man in mid-sneeze. God bless you precious!

My husband recently wrote an article about habits, specifically that bad sort. He had asked a few people if they know how many days it would take for a habit to officially form and work with out "trying". It got me to think about my habits, and the habits I wish I had. If I can discipline myself for one month, and do all the things that I would like to become habits, then in theory, I will have formed new habits, and be able to do them with out thinking. Some habits I would like to form are:

-making the bed in the mornings (as soon as we wake up)
-doing my hair and make-up every morning before the kids wake up
-washing each dish after we use it, and put it away
- bringing down all dirty laundry down stairs every morning and throw in a daily load.

I think I might start this habit learning tomorrow.

Stay tuned to future posts to see if I am able to keep all this up for one whole month!
