Have you ever had one of those day that you just want to hide in a closet, scream, and pull out your hair all in one? I have, and today happens to be one of those days! Let me just say, I can not wait until all humans in my home know how to use the potty! This morning went by pretty well, with breakfast in the rain again, and some sweet one on one story time with each child. After the morning nap, it all started to go down hill from there! Went to get Charlotte from our room after nap time to find every drawer in our room open and emptied with all its contents on the floor, and our child-proof lock to our bathroom hacked and on the floor, and all our shampoo and conditioner we owned all over the tile floor, and all in Charlottes hair. Of course, after she was done with dry washing herself she crawled into our bed (leaving a mass of mess behind her) after taking off her diaper to try to sleep. Of course, the sheets that were covered in conditioner, shampoo, and now urine had to come off again and go straight into the wash (again). As I was bringing Charlotte down stairs to her brothers, William had managed to take his diaper off, and come and meet us upstairs. As he was crawling up stairs, he decided to leave a present on almost each step going up four steps. Of course, with my luck, while bringing down Charlotte and the sheets (after bathing her), I was lucky enough to have stepped in two of those presents he left me. So of course, I had to go wash my feet, and spend about 40 min on the stairs scrubbing poop out of each of the steps I happened to merge with. Cleaned up the rest of the poop, and figured I was in the clear. After making lunch and feeding each child, I went to pull out clothes from the washing machine that I had thrown in earlier, and transfer them into the dryer. As I started to get the last little bit of clothing out of the wash, mounds of poop were falling every where! I was completely horrified! So of course, I had to scrub the washing machine down, clean the washing machine through a cycle, and re-wash all the clothing from that particular load. I promise, I ALWAYS inspect each piece of clothing before it makes it into my "wash-next" pile, so I have no idea where it came from. So now, with about the four loads of laundry behind schedule for me to wash today, and my sheets and mattress pad added to that pile along with my comforter, my laundry room is piled high with "to-do's".
A keen observation my sweet friend Jennifer made "this always happens when Chase is not home!". And you know, she is right!
Lucky me!!
I just pray that tomorrow is going to be a complete turn around, and be easy and awesome!! I can't help but laugh when Chase calls it the "Joys of parenting".
I have to leave a photo, so here is one of my sweet and precious Charlotte
I'll pray for a better day tomorrow, as well. I'm sure it will be. Would you believe me if I told you that someday you'll look back on this and have a good laugh? I promise, you will!
