Tippy Toes and tiny noses....... and everything in between.

First snip

Charlotte received her first haircut ever yesterday! Her hair had gotten so long that it went past the middle of her back. It was so beautiful! Unfortunately, her first year of her life she had this natural mullet like hair style causing the middle bottom of her hair to grow VERY FAST, not leaving the rest of her hair time to catch up.

The place we took her was so much fun! All the kids were placed in a toy car chair (like something you would see at Restoration Hardware) taxi, police, fire, or just a plain cool car.

I didn't feel so cheesy whipping out my camera and taking like a million pictures considering there were so many mothers and fathers with video recorders and cameras. This was deff. the place to go to get your child's first hair cut!

She was a little sceptical at first once the lady started to put her hair up in clips.

Once she calmed down, she was able to enjoy her first hair cut. The hairdresser even had Daddy read her a book (so she would keep her head down).

And when all finished...

She loved it! (or just loved that it was over)

Faces

I wish I could put into words to explain my William. He has about double the amount of personality then any child I have ever met. He is something else. One of the things I love about him is all his faces! Through out my blog, I am sure you have seen some of his many faces. You can read his thoughts just by looking at his expressions. Lately, he has taken too walking around everywhere with his lips cheeks puffed out like so

He is such a character! Currently, he is also all about talking to his "JJ" (my mother in-law) on the phone. Using anything he can get his hands on - phone, shoe, doll, and pretend to talk to her through out the day numerous times. There have even been times where daddy has had to tell him over the phone "no Will, this is not JJ, this is Daddy", and he responds to this with "Hi daddy! I want to say hello to JJ".

Sand

Living in Hawaii, you would think that we ventured to the beach often. Unfortunately, not this family. For the past couple of years we did not even dare think about having an outing to the beach.

Let me introduce you to my daughters dislikes -

anything that is messy - frosting, dirt, SAND!

One or two tiny grains of sand would send her over the edge in a frantic ramble/jig/cry as she would try her hardest to separate herself from each and every grain that made contact with her.

We dared to make a visit to the beach the other day. To our great surprise, we stayed! It looks as if her serious dislike for the sand was just a phase that she grew out of!
